EGG CUTTER
Not sure what to call this sweet little utensil; Scissors - Topper - Cutter? Unusual blade and spring action.
No markings other than the French patent-related "Brete .G.D.G."
Great patina and softness to the silver coating. Blade is sharp and spring functions as it should.

2 cups warm water 5 tablespoons oleo (margarine)
1 teaspoon salt 2 - 3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon yeast 5 - 6 cups flour
Slice oleo and add warm water. Add salt, sugar, and yeast. Work in flour and knead. Butter top and bottom of dough. Cover and let rise 1 hour or until double in size. Punch down and knead again (if sticky, add flour). Cut in half and put in 2 greased loaf pans. Let rise till doubled in size. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.

SWEET POTATO CAKE
1 cup mashed sweet potato 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 small bananas, mashed 2 egg yolks, beaten
1 cup milk 3 tablespoons raisins, cut fine
2 tablespoons sugar
Combine sweet potato and banana. Add milk and blend. Add salt, sugar, egg yolks, and raisins. Mix well and pour in a well-oiled 1 quart casserole baking pan. Bake in slow oven (300 degrees) for 45 minutes or until cake is set and firm to touch and top is golden brown. Yield 4 - 6 servings.
